The Scale of Problems

Lazy Sunday being home after traveling last week. Have a cold (which the plane on Friday night didn’t help with a ton). It’s nice to be back coding on a Sunday.

Daniel and I are catching up later today, and it had me thinking about some of the perspective he will often add to conversations about life. One of the biggest takeaways is the scale of problems.

During Coherent we had problems that felt existential, but in reality they were minor. They felt existential because they were the biggest problems we had faced in our short lifes, but in the scheme of things they’re minor. Yeah is business not working? Sure. But if you and your family are healthy, there is reason to be grateful.

The more I get into life the more I realize the scale of problems I have vs the scale of other people’s, and laugh at how in-my-head I was about certain problems I’ve faced before.
